Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Our Signature wines are deeply influenced by old world wine making techniques, lovingly handcrafted in small batch quantities, we craft these wines to reflect the “Signature” – the attributes and characteristics of the vineyard from which they originate. 

The bouquet from this stunning vintage is full of classic fresh herb, lime zest and ripe passionfruit character on the palate. Lees aging of some components prior to bottling has developed mid-palate weight adding to the wine’s intense fruit characters. The excellent concentration provides a lengthy and persistence finish in our distinctive Signature Sauvignon Blanc.

Misty Cove Signature Sauvignon Blanc is best enjoyed with a wide rang of dishes including shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, fish, chicken, asparagus, salads or simply as a classy aperitif at 9°C.

Vintage 2016

2016 will go down in history as a small and challenging vintage yet for us we will remember if with only one word, quality. All of the fruit for this stunning wine was hand harvested from our Rapaura and Omaka vineyards. Fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks after gentle pressing, we have used only the best strains of yeast most suited to the distinctive aromatics of Marlborough Sauvignon. An extended time on lees for some of the components has developed mid-palate weight adding to the wine’s intense fruit characters

The bouquet from this stunning vintage is full of classic fresh herb, lime zest and ripe passion fruit characters with vibrant well defined acidity topping off the ripe tropical and citrus fruit character on the palate. The nettle character gives the wine something interesting and the excellent concentration provides a lengthy and persistence finish in our distinctive Signature Sauvignon Blanc.
