2022 Landmark Grüner Veltliner

Misty Cove’s Landmark Grüner Veltliner is deeply influenced by old world winemaking techniques. Lovingly handcrafted with small batch qualities, we crafted this wine to reflect the “Landmark” – the attributes and characteristics of the Fareham Lane vineyard from which it originated.

Perfect pairing

Think spice. Grüner Veltliner is crisp and a perfect palate cleanser for richly flavored foods. While Grüner wines pair with classic Austrian dishes like sautéed kidneys, its newfound glory is with Asian spices. It’s also one of the few still wines that hold up against vegetable fare. Generally the more spark and flavour in your dish, the better our Grüner plays.

Winemaking

Hand harvested and whole bunch pressed. 50% cold fermented in stainless steel tanks and 50% in 500 litre new acacia puncheons to enhance floral characters, provide palate weight and texture.
