Perfect pairing
Whether you're enjoying a charcuterie board with your friends or indulging in a hearty meal of grilled venison, you can count on this wine to deliver.
However, if you're looking for the ultimate pairing, we highly recommend trying it with a roasted rack of Kiwi lamb, seasoned with fresh rosemary and served alongside crispy duck fat potatoes.
Winemaking
The fruit was hand harvested from our home block in the Wairau Valley and treated traditionally, allowing the natural fruit concentration and ripe tannin structure to shine. After 10 months of maturation in 35% new French Oak and 65% seasoned French Oak, only selected barrels were chosen to deliver smooth rounded tannins, balanced by youthful acidity and subtle hints of toasty oak.

"Splendidly ripe and perfumed with sweet plum, dark cherry, rich floral and toasted nut characters with a hint of savoury complexity. The palate delivers excellent weight and plump mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by silky texture and beautifully pitched tannins. Flavoursome and highly appealing. At its best: now to 2029."

"This is from Misty Cove's Flagship Fareham Lane Vineyard in Marlborough. That's their top vineyard. It's the sort of wine that as I'm tasting it, it makes me ask the big question, "How do they do it at the price?" Delicately scented, almost slightly floral. Delicious, refreshing. It's classic Pinot Noir. I'm getting cherries, plum, once again, floral, perhaps red rose petal, and just a hint of spice. It's a really delicately poised wine."

"It's sweetly ripe and inviting with black cherry, floral, almond and thyme aromas, leading to a beautifully flowing palate that's silky and fleshy. Splendidly proportioned and harmonious with elegant structure and persistency. At its best: now to 2027."
