2024 Estate Pinot Gris

Misty Cove’s Estate Pinot Gris is lovingly handcrafted and produced from our upper Wairau Valley vineyards, where stony old riverbed soils help create a floral and fleshy wine that truly captures Marlborough’s unique environment.

These famously rich soils help deliver an exciting and enticing wine that is on the drier spectrum. Balanced acidity gives a lush and soft backbone that is quite moreish to share with great mates and tasty food.

The fruit was harvested in the cool of the morning and soaked on skins for 6 hours. Fermented with our unique combination of yeast that produces mouthfeel and texture.

Perfect pairing

Pinot Gris is a well-balanced aromatic white, making it pair best with smokey or spice. That's why we get creative with the BBQ when we turn up with a bottle of this stuff. Great for a Summer's day with smokey pulled pork, spicy beef ribs and creamy mushrooms on toast. You're also gonna wanna break out some horseradish, homemade Brussels type pâté and while you'reat it lock in asmoked salmon.

"It’s bright and pristine on the nose with poached pear, honeydew melon, citrus peel and floral notes, leading to a beautifully rounded palate offering ripe fruit flavours with supple texture and refreshing acidity. Comforting and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2025"

"An expressive nose of pear, peach, citrus and spice jumps out of the glass. The off-dry palate sits at the riper end of the spectrum, but is lengthy and well balanced with a good depth of flavour and a long satisfying finish."
