Perfect pairing

Lush and aromatic, its vibrant flavours beautifully complement spicy Indian dishes like chicken tikka masala or vegetable samosas. For a lighter option, enjoy it alongside sushi or sashimi. The wine’s subtle spice also makes it an excellent match for roasted pork with apple chutney or a Kiwi classic! Grilled sausages with caramelised onions.

Winemaking

Hand-harvested from our Fareham Lane vineyard, whole bunch pressed and fermented in a mixture of acacia barriques and stainless steel tanks. The wine was aged on fermentation lees for four months, enhancing its texture and depth, before fining and bottling in spring.

Expert Opinions

2025 vintage

90 Points | Premium

"Fragrant, delicate, floral and varietal with scents of white spice and white peach, apple and lemon, leesy ginger spice qualities and a light mineral purity. A dry wine on the palate though there is a tickle of residual sweetness first, this is accentuated by the core of fruit flavours which also mirror the bouquet. Balanced and well made, ready to drink from day of purchase through 2028."

★★★★

"The youthful 2024 vintage (****) is a single-vineyard wine, hand-picked west of Renwick, in the Wairau Valley, and fermented in acacia barriques.  Light lemon/green, it is perfumed, mouthfilling and fleshy, with generous, peachy, spicy flavours, showing a touch of complexity, and a dry (2.6 grams/litre of residual sugar), harmonious finish.  Best drinking 2027+."

"Complex and beautifully perfumed on the nose with lychee, orange peel, apricot and mixed spice aromas with a hint of savoury nuance. The concentrated palate delivers fleshy texture and opulent mouthfeel backed by bright acidity, finishing wonderfully long and flavoursome. At its best: now to 2026"
