Winemaking

Produced from our Lower and Upper Wairau Valley vineyards where mature vines give opulent flavours that provide fruit lift and fragrance. The fruit was handpicked as individual vineyard blocks and kept separate until final blending. Grape bunches were mostly destemmed and fermented in open vats; after gentle plunging the wine was drained to barrels for 10 months prior to bottling on 21st March 2020. Aromas of vibrant red fruits and dried spice lead to a smooth and rounded palate. Polished tannings add structure to help deliver a delightful example of Pinot Noir that can be enjoyed now or over the coming 3-5 years.
